Hope Methodist Church

Sharing the love of God in the heart of the community

Welcome!

Church Image Summer 2010

We are a growing church in a prime location in the heart of a suburban community.

We meet for Worship on Sundays at

10.45am and 6.30pm.

The Sunday School also meets at 10.45am
on a Sunday Morning.

In order to be more effective in our work we have recently made changes to the way that our Churches in South Ribble and Preston are organised. In addition we have new Ministers who would love to meet you.

You would be very welcome to join us on Sundays, or at any of our regular weekly activities.

The children meet in the Church and leave early in the service to go into the hall for Sunday School.  However, we are very happy for children to remain in the Church for the whole of the service if they prefer.  Do not be afraid of them making a noise - it is not a problem.

We usually serve tea and coffee and juice in the Church after the morning service so please stay and have a chat.

We have many activities and groups that use our church building:

Alpha Groups, House Groups, Bible study,
Prayer Groups, Prayer Chain, Choir,
Holiday Bible Club, Parent and Toddler Group,
Youth Club, Adult Youth Club,
Coffee Morning, Lunch Club,
Uniformed Organisations, An Art group,
Weight Watchers, Singing, Dancing, WI, etc.
In fact - If we haven't got what you want, just tell us.

Our modern premises are well used throughout the week and visitors and new members are always welcome.

If you would like to enquire about using our premises either for a special event or for a regular booking please contact
John North (click here)

We have a strong musical tradition and our choir, which meets for Christmas, Easter and other special events
has around thirty five members.

The Church attracts members of all ages and from various backgrounds, some working in the City of Preston, others working in the rural areas which surround us, single parents, young families, retired people - infact people just like you!

The village has a Junior School, several shops, cricket and football fields, bowling green, village hall, children's play area, a doctors surgery and both sheltered accomodation and a retirement home.

The Church seats around 120 and has a large modern hall and ancillary rooms.  There is adequate car parking in the Church grounds.

We believe that God must be at the centre of all that we do.  Talking and listening to God in prayer is a vital part of the life of the Church and its members.

We are constantly looking for new ways of taking the church out into the community and to a world searching for answers.  If you would like to be involved in this or you just want to see what we are about then please contact us or come along.

Whoever you are and whatever your needs we would love to hear from you.

We are a
Fair Trade Church - This means we endeavour to use Fair Trade products wherever possible.
